With assistance from the University of North Texas and the Lewisville Aquatic Ecosystem Research Facility, a variety of research in constructed and natural wetland ecology has taken place since LLELA's inception in the early 1990s. Currently, we are exploring the relationship between groundwater and surface wetlands for wetland design and management (the thesis proposal by Lynde (Dodd) Williams can be read here) and the use of native species in cattail- and lotus-dominated systems (the dissertation proposal by Robin Buckallew can be read here). |
