If you enjoy working with children or sharing knowledge with others, we can use your skills at LLELA! Our programs are growing, and there are new opportunities for volunteers of many different backgrounds and interests. Training can be provided for any position, with minimal prior experience. Current education volunteer positions:
- Assist with school groups on weekday visits to LLELA for field studies or homestead tours.
- Lead visitors on weekend nature hikes
- Lead visitors on weekend bird walks
- Present weekend badge workshops for Boy Scouts
- People with related skills (spinning, weaving, woodworking, genealogical research, storytelling, etc.) are always needed at the Pioneer Homestead.
- Guide weekend visitors on bison tours
- Conduct tours of LLELA’s Pioneer Homestead for groups of all ages
