Environmental Ethics Graduate Program

UNT’s Environmental Ethics Graduate Program is the leading program in environmental philosophy, nationally and internationally.

The department is the home of the premiere journal in the field, Environmental Ethics: An Interdisciplinary Journal, and the Center for Environmental Philosophy, a non-profit organization that engages in publishing, research, and education, including workshops on environmental education, professional development for environmental scientists and environmental professionals, and national conferences on theoretical and applied issues related to philosophy and the environment.

Faculty projects are discipline-centered in various areas of environmental philosophy, and are interdisciplinary regarding issues of ecological restoration, conservation biology, indigenous environmental movements, globalization, environmental justice, education and management.
