I am currently an adjunct laboratory instructor in the Department of Biological Sciences, University of North Texas .  I earned my PhD in May 2005.  Together with Dr. Kenneth W. Stewart, our research revised the stonefly genus Isogenoides systematically and described the drumming behavior for the now eight species.  A complete life history for I. zionensis provided details helping to better understand stonefly biology and ecology.  Egg hatching experiments increased our understanding of complex recruitment caused by a great capacity in this genus for extended, sometimes asynchronous, egg diapause and hatching.

Originally I am from Stevens Point, WI.  My undergraduate and masters degrees in Fisheries Biology, and Natural Resources - Limnology were both earned at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, under Dr. Stan Szczytko, who directs the Aquatic Entomology Laboratory along with the coolest guy I know, Jeff Dimick.
